Shadows Of The Past VII

In spite of himself, Daigon grinned. "Perhaps not, old lizard woman, but taunts aside, what is wrong with you today? I've sensed something from the moment I entered the yard. Talk to me, Liasastis...please?"

*You will not like what I have to say, Blademaster. It will anger you and then you will stomp off and drown yourself in one of those vile fermented beverages your kind favor so.*

His eyes narrowed, all hint of humor vanished from his face. "Blademaster I am and not some petulant child to be so dismissed. You will speak your piece or I shall know the true reason why you do not." His tone was as cool and hard as one of her scales.

  1. Nice snippet. I look forward to seeing where you take this.

I love dragon stories. They're such wise and wily ancient creatures. I think you've captured that here.

  2. Do I detect a hint of mutual prejudice here?

  3. The way I see it, they either don't get along at all, or they're old friends throwing banter at each other. In either case, this is getting good.

  5. His tone changed quite quickly. He must be terribly revered to speak like that to a dragon. Wonderful dialogue.
