Shadows Of The Past IX

Daigon's broad shoulders slumped while his eyes smoldered with the fires of  obsession, "One minute it was all icy politeness and the next it was fierce and fiery passion. Damn me to Hell, my friend, I mean to give her up but I can not! I will not!"

*If you will not, then damn you to Hell I must, for I will tell you what my honor demands me to do. You will, here and now, swear Oath as my bondmate that you are forever done with this affront. If you do not, then straight to the Council Hall will I fly. I shall make my case before your fellow Blademasters. This I will do! You must make your choice or bear the consequences. How shall it be, bondmate?*

This story excerpt was chosen for the weekly Science Fiction Fantasy Saturday Snippet  and is from a work in progress, Shadows Of Honor.

  2. Obsession vs honour. A very dangerous combination! Good sequence - thanks!
