Discontent of Winter

Jack ignored the Geiger counter and flipped the louvers on the cabin window partially open.

A think blanket of white covered everything. Ice encased the spidery tree limbs, coating the rowan in poisonous crystals of ice.

Gone were his childhood days when snow did not fall in July and was not the least bit radioactive.

This story was written for the weekly 55 Word Challenge flash fiction photo prompts. For fun, I have worked all three photos into a single story.
